Voltage: Most gensets use 12 V batteries, but larger ones might use 24 V.

Capacity (Ah, at C20 rating): This tells you how many amp-hours the battery holds under a 20-hr rate.

Higher Ah = more capacity.

Cranking / starting ability: For a generator start battery, you need high “cranking power” or “CCA” (Cold Cranking Amps).

Maintenance / service intervals: Flooded versus VRLA/maintenance-free. In harsh conditions (heat, vibration) you may prefer low-maintenance. Vibration / temperature resistance: Generator environments may be more demanding (vibrations, heat) than normal automotive use.

Warranty & local support: In Nepal, having a good warranty and local dealer is important.

Dimensions and installation orientation: Make sure physical fit, pole layout (Left/Right), etc match your generator battery tray.
